INTERMEDIATE PLAYERS / FALL 2023

ALICE IN WONDERLAND JR.

Registration is not complete without payment.

The BLP Intermediate Players (5th – 8th graders) presents Alice in Wonderland Jr.

According to past numbers and demand we will have three casts for this show.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures.  Featuring updated songs from Disney’s thrilling animated motion picture, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR.is a fast-paced take on the classic tale.

The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit.  Her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game!

During rehearsals students will actively engage in an interactive theatre education as well as learn the production process from start to finish. In the class students will explore characterization, basic theatre terms, improv exercises. Students will also be trained how to make interesting choices on stage, movement, and vocal instruction.

SPECIAL SCHEDULING NOTE:

Alice in Wonderland is scheduled for the first weekend of the Thanksgiving holiday – but we chose this on purpose. We’d love to close out a wonderful fall performance season in mid November so that our families can fully embrace the holiday season. We hope it works for you! The performances will conclude Saturday and hopefully you can travel on Sunday. Thanks for understanding!
